(Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association said a different alum technically founded the program, but Srugo was heavily involved from 2016-2020 and was listed as a co-founder at that time.) The two friends have also seemingly bonded over their shared love of Israel. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/office-of-the-mayor\/news\/376-23\/transcript-mayor-adams-hosts-reception-celebrating-jewish-heritage-month\">a speech<\/a> at a Jewish Heritage Month reception in May, Adams thanked Srugo for teaching him about &#8220;what it is to grow up as a young Jewish girl in the city, from Israel.&#8221; In June, she appeared with Adams, brandishing a sign that said &#8220;MAYOR ERIC ADAMS CELEBRATES ISRAEL&#8221; at the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York\u2019s 2023 Celebrate Israel Parade. &#8220;Thank you to @nycmayor for being supportive of the Jewish people, Israel, faith practices and me! We need to have his back \u2665\ufe0f\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf1,&#8221; she wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CtHyWvrRb21\/?img_index=1\">on Instagram<\/a>. Srugo also posted photos to her Instagram story\u2014side by side with the mayor, plus a shot of his security team with the caption &#8220;Has tlv ever seen a more handsome crew?! \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf1 \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8\ud83d\uddfd&#8221;\u2014when she was in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/08\/21\/nyregion\/eric-adams-nyc-israel-netanyahu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">at the same time Adams was in Israel<\/a>, back in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But their relationship isn&#8217;t all civic duty\u2014Srugo and our nightlife-loving mayor Adams also hit the town together. The mayor caught heat in October 2022 for <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/10\/07\/mayor-eric-adams-parties-before-calling-state-of-emergency\/\">attending her birthday party<\/a>\u2014at <a href=\"https:\/\/tableofsuccess.hellgatenyc.com\/robert-and-zhan-petrosyants\/\">Robert and Johnny Petrosyants<\/a>&#8216;s hotspot Osteria La Baia\u2014the day before declaring a migrant-induced state of emergency in the City. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cjygo7HOJCc\/?img_index=1\">Also in attendance<\/a>: Zero Bond owner and fellow Adams friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/tableofsuccess.hellgatenyc.com\/scott-sartiano\/\">Scott Sartiano<\/a>, and the rappers French Montana and Ja Rule.) Srugo and the mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/p\/drake-forced-pause-nyc-concert-fan-falls-off-2nd-floor-balcony\/\">went to a Drake concert<\/a> with friends this past January, a night out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cn7mAMouCHk\/?img_index=7\">memorialized on her Instagram feed<\/a> in a carousel-style post that combines concert footage and a clip from one of the mayor&#8217;s speeches about the rebounding of city life. &#8220;This week a few good men did a few great things for our city,&#8221; Srugo told the Real Deal that she &#8220;basically was named for not responding to an email,&#8221; although an attorney told the publication that not responding could still constitute a violation of fair housing law. In other news, in 2021 Srugo found herself at the center of a cheating scandal when &#8220;Bachelorette&#8221;<em> <\/em>season 16 stars Dale Moss and Clare Crawley called off their engagement <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/01\/22\/dale-mosss-mystery-woman-denies-cheating-allegations\/\">amid rumors<\/a> that Moss was cheating on Crawley with Srugo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Srugo <a href=\"https:\/\/iapps.courts.state.ny.us\/fbem\/DocumentDisplayServlet?documentId=CDy6t4rEmwYL\/rU15\/5tRQ==&amp;system=prod\">sued Tango Publishing Corporation for defamation<\/a> after they ran articles labeling her as Moss&#8217;s &#8220;mistress&#8221; and vehemently denied those rumors in other outlets through her representative Ronn Torossian, a controversial PR executive whose past notable clients include figures like &#8220;Girls Gone Wild&#8221; founder Joe Francis, Lil&#8217; Kim, Snoop Dogg, and, despite his Armenian heritage, the regime of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adams was for a time also good friends with Torossian, who reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/why-is-nyc-mayor-eric-adams-glued-to-toxic-pr-exec-ronn-torossian\">introduced Adams to Zero Bond prior to his election<\/a>.
